These 11 instrumental compositions are the result of a sound study I've embarked on over the past year or so. It started with a simple prompt "what does blossoming sound like?" This album is more of an interpretation and creative expression than a scientific endeavor (although there are some cool techniques and instruments for monitoring the electrical signals of plants and translating to sound I'd like to explore in the future).

A few images were my guiding light in this process: flowers blooming in fast and slow motion at the same time, wind chimes in a gentle breeze, ambient light leaks, and sitting in nature. I embarked to create spontaneous arrangements, often starting with vibraphone or glockenspiel improvised with no metronome or time signature, then chopped, looped, pitched differently to create patterns. Curated randomness. Other colors in the palette include: analog synthesizers, fluttering fingerstyle guitar, field recordings, felt piano, and ambient guitar pedal processing.
