I'm excited to share Colour Rise with you all! This song came to me one summer night while my sister was visiting my wife and I in Oakland. I laid down a few ideas on my laptop that night in the living room, then a few weeks later finished the song in the studio. It ended up feeling both nostalgic and new.
You can hear the same electric piano that I built a lot of my first EP, Fly On, around. Initially it just was a place holder, but then I realized it sounded exactly right. I also left the folk instruments hanging on the wall for this one because sometimes an electric guitar is just too much fun.
